SCOPE
Logo suite, podcast cover art, Squarespace website and social templates.
Project Overview
When Harper Spero and Stephanie Kruse approached me to develop the brand for their new podcast venture, the brief came with a twist: they were far more certain about what the brand shouldn’t be than what it should.
Not overly polished. Not girly. Not stiff or corporate. Something that walked a tightrope between confident and casual, warm but bold, simple yet layered.
That challenge—translating a pile of abstract adjectives into a living, breathing brand—is exactly the kind of work I love.
Objectives
Develop a type-forward logo that visually expressed contrast, change, and playfulness
Build a cohesive visual system that reinforced key brand concepts: in-between states, non-linear growth, and approachable honesty
Deliver a full brand suite for web, podcast platforms, and social media
Good Enough for Now logo suite and color palette.
My Role & Deliverables
I led all aspects of visual brand development, using the co-hosts’ input as a launch point and steering the creative direction from concept to execution. We aligned early, allowing for a smooth, collaborative process without the need for heavy-handed persuasion.
Deliverables included:
Visual Strategy: Helped define tone and direction through a guided exploration process
Logo Design: Created a type-driven logo pairing casual script with geometric sans serif, visually reinforcing the theme of contrast and non-linearity
Color Palette: Selected a bold, fresh palette that stood out in podcast directories while still feeling grounded and inviting
Collateral: Designed podcast cover art, a mobile-responsive Squarespace website, and flexible social media templates
Guidelines: Produced a concise but thorough brand guide to ensure consistency across assets
Design Approach
To reinforce the brand’s themes of transition and duality, the visuals incorporate overlapping elements, sharp color divides, and clean type hierarchy. The result is visually distinctive but deeply intentional—a system that expresses the brand’s ethos without needing explanation.
Branded Instagram avatar, Story covers, and post templates.
Tools & Workflow
Design: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
Platform: Squarespace (handled full structural setup, navigation, styling, and light custom code)
Collaboration: Remote check-ins with the co-hosts, file handoff via Google Drive
Podcast episode graphics, and live on Apple podcasts.
Outcome & Impact
A brand identity that balances polish with personality—visually confident but never sterile
A fully structured and styled Squarespace site, with a flexible layout that supported their ongoing publishing needs
Assets and templates that supported consistent, professional presentation across podcast directories, social media, and their site
A delighted client team that used the system throughout the life of the show

Testimonial
“I have worked with many freelance and small creative teams and Amanda was one of the few who very aptly asked the right questions to bring out the best in our brand brief, then nailed the brief on her deliverable. She had good instincts about what narrative we wanted to tell with our brand identity. We are a team of two and Amanda handled our feedback seamlessly!”
